Janilea Bays, Contracting Officer, (202) 767-6745. This is a notice of intent from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to contract on a 100% set-aside basis for small business concerns. NRL has a requirement for technical services in the fields of real- time software development and support, and system field support in hardware and software in the realm of Tactical Electronic Warfare. The tasks to be supported are composed of analysis of Electronic Support Measures (ESM) Threat Emitter Types, support of ESM Environmental Simulation (ESMES), analysis of various ESM and ESMES hardware and software systems, support of real-time software for DEC VAX IBM PC, and Silicon Graphics computer systems, and support in maintaining and designing hardware. These tasks will be performed at NRL and other remote sites. All offerors must have a good understanding of digital and RF interfaces, isolating between RF, digital, software, and data construction, and ESM environmental simulation subsystems. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee Term type contract is anticipated. The statement of work will be included with the solicitation package. The period of performance is for 12 months from contract award plus four additional twelve month options. Numbered Note 1 is applicable to this synopsis.
