Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for USAF overflow items represent a potential work requirement that may generate temporarily and which are beyond the capacity of the USAF. Actual quantities over the life of the contract may be less than or in excess of the BEQs included in this anouncement. Contractors will be required on a cost-reimbursement basis to purchase materials in support of the FMS requirement from a source approved by the prime engine manufacturer (CFM). Materials in support of any USAF overflow requirement will be Government Furnished Material (GFM). A draft Request For Proposal will be issued on or about 31 March 95. The draft RFP will include instructions concerning a Pre-solicitation Conference to be held at Kelly AFB, TX. All approved T56 engine component repair sources wishing to obtain a copy of the draft RFP shall notify this office in writing. Questions arising from review of draft Request For Proposal shall be submitted in writing NLT 7 days prior to the pre-solicitation conference.
