K -- RETROFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMBERS SOL DAAD05-95-R-0764 DUE 042095 POC Contract Specialist Kevin Clark (410) 278-4003 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Combat Systems Test Activity (CSTA) and the Edgewood Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ERDEC) of the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) have a requirement for a freon retrofit of twenty-four (24) Envirotronics Temperature Conditioning Chambers for CSTA and nine (9) Envirotronics Environmental Test Chambers for ERDEC. The chambers have been specifically designed for these tenants of APG for test support functions, so they are not commercially produced. Services require retrofitting the chambers with new non-ozone depleting freon gas, once completed, each chamber will be tested against their original specifications. The contractor will be required to trouble-shoot and modify if necessary the retrofitted chambers to bring the performance up to its previous operating capabilities at no additional cost to the Government. This announcement is intended to solely negotiate with the equipment manufacturer Envirotronics, Inc., 3427, Kraft, S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49512 because the schematic manuals contain proprietary technical information of each individual chamber. Envirotronics will not provide future services should there be equipment malfunctions caused by another source providing their own parts or performing service work of any type.
