Howe, (202)690-5552 The Department of Health and Human Services/Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation has a need for the capability to implement, on an ''as-needed'' basis, quick turnaround policy assessments regarding health, long-term care, aging and disability issues. The contract shall provide for the analysis of issues, programs and policies affecting persons with: chronic disabilities including the chronically impaired elderly, the mentally retarded/developmentally disabled population, physically disabled persons of all ages (including children), and individuals with chronic mental illness. It shall also provide for short-term assessments related to the effective operation of Older Americans Act programs and Departmental initiatives addressing persons who are aging. The activities conducted under this contract will included policy or program assessments, evaluation design studies, and conference planning/management studies. The basic period of performance shall be one year with two option years. RFP-28-95-HHS-OS will be issued on or about April 7, 1995.
