A -- STATISTICAL AND DATA ANALYSIS CENTER SOL N01-AI-95030 POC Paul D. McFarlane, Contracting Officer, 301-496-0349 Philip Hastings, Contract Specialist. Per CBD numbered Note 22, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Specifically, the Government plans to extend contract N01-AI-95030 with the President and Fellows of Harvard College for 12 months from its present 2/29/96 expiration date. The Contractor is responsible for providing statistical and data analysis support for the combined adult and pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. A recent reorganization has resulted in separate adult and pediatric groups within the ACTG. It is anticipated that the adult portion of the current scope of work will be recompeted and in place by February 29, 1996. However, the pediatric portion will not be recompeted and in place until March 1, 1997. Therefore, the proposed contract extension is necessary for the continued statistical and data support of the pediatric effort until the recompetition is complete. (0081)
