H -- COMPLIANCE TEST PROGRAM FMVSS NOS. 111, 131, 217, 220, 222, AND 301 SOL DTNH22-95-R-01145 DUE 052395 POC Rose Watson, Contract Specialist, (202) 366-9557 The Contractor shall conduct inspection and compliance testing to verify motor vehicle conformance with the performance requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSSs) 111 ''Rearview Mirrors'', 131 ''School Bus Pedestrian Safety Devices'', 217 ''Bus Window Retention and Release'', 220 ''School Bus Rollover Protection'', 222 ''School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection'', 301 ''Fuel System Integrity'' and shall submit reports (and film as required) of test data. It is contemplated that a fixed price contract will be awarded for a period of twelve (12) months, with four (4) one year option periods. Offerors will be evaluated on quality assurance, test data documentation, test scheduling, facilities and equipment, organization and personnel qualifications and testing experience. All necessary equipment and facilities must be available and operational eight weeks after contract award. Subcontracting of compliance testing or any portion of compliance testing is not permitted. Manufacturers of vehicles or components to be tested are not eligible for award of this procurement. Request must include two (2) self-addressed mailing labels citing RFP number.
