This procurement action was incorrectly synopsized under Subject Classification Code ''R'' the week of March 13th, 1995 and is re-synopsized here in its entirety: This procurement action will result in a sole-source contract to Acrodyne Industries, Inc. for the refurbishment of two Acrodyne model TRU/1KAC 1000 WATT UHF channel 80 television transmitters and retuning these transmitters to channel 69. The refurbishment of these transmitters includes the following work: repair or replacement of distorted cabinet; new channel 69 TCXO reference oscillator; new channel 69 low level band pass filter for RF converter; RF converter retuning, temperature testing, and system test; cleaning and repair of Logic PC Board; disassemble, clean and reassemble output cavities and subassemblies; rebuild and replate Y1400 cavities and components; provide new 9017 1kW output tube; provide other miscellaneous replacement parts; system retuning (to channel 69) in accordance with Acrodyne factory specifications; provide a new output notch filter, 1 5/8'' EIA; and full system test and calibration in accordance with Acrodyne factory specifications for FCC part 73 television transmitters. These transmitters will be used at the Navy Broadcasting Service detachment at Souda Bay in Crete. As this contract action will be negotiated on a sole-source basis, no formal solicitation will be issued. See Note 22. Any interested vendor which intends to submit a proposal in accordance with Note 22 MUST notify the above point-of-contact of their intent to do so within fifteen calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
