plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work in
strict accordance with specifications, schedules, and Drawing No.
FE-372-94 to be furnished with the solicitation. Work is for Chrome
Lines #1 and #2 Ventilation Systems, installation/repair/upgrade.
Chrome Line #2 shall be complete and running before work commences on
Chrome Line #1. Work includes removal of all fire damaged components of
an existing Chrome Line #2 ventilation system to include FRP ductwork,
demister, FRP fan, piping, electrical components; excavating area
around both Chrome Lines #1 and #2 exhaust ductwork that is presently
underground; constructing two concrete pits; installing new PVC exhaust
ductwork, demister, fan, plumbing, and all associated components on
both Chrome Lines #1 and #2; removing one chrome plating vat and
installing two chrome plating vats to include installing 2 rectifiers,
ventilation, steam heated coils, etc. on Chrome Line #2; performing
all necessary electrical work to support system; installing all
plumbing associated with demisters; installing recycling system to
include holding tanks, pumps, meters, reverse osmosis unit, and all
associated plumbing as required to recycle demisters washdown water.
Contractor shall run PVC pipe to each chrome plating vat on both Chrome
Lines #1 and #2 to allow addition of make-up solution to vats as
needed. Emissions from equipment shall meet both Clean Air Act 40 CFR
63 Subpart N, and California Air Pollution Control Regulations, Title
