Z -- TERRA COTTA CLEANING, REPAIRS & PAINTING SOL GS-09P-95-NPC-0024 DUE 051195 POC Contact,Bobby Jenkins,213/894-4984,Contracting Officer,Tava Dianne Lovelady,213/894-5921 The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision and expertise to repair and seal the exterior terra cotta and granite building surfaces, to seal and repaint steel windows, strip and recoat aluminum and steel window grates, and to paint all exposed mechanical equipment at roof levels and interior parapet walls. This procurement will be made using the two-step sealed bid method. To be qualified to bid on this work, each prospective bidder must have completed at least three projects, on buildings on the national, state or local historic listings; have completed at least two projects including restoration of glazed terra cotta exterior cladding of at least 25,000 square feet; have completed at least two projects including exterior work the full height of a building at least seventy five (75) feet high; have been in business for a full five years; submit evidence of adequate bonding capacity. Step one (1) requires that the contractor complete a pre-qualification questionnaire, which will be issued to those that submit written requests. The completed questionnaire must be received by May 11, 1995. During step one (1), no prices nor pricing information will be submitted. All questionnaires will be evaluated and only those determined to be qualified will be issued plans and specifications. Those who do not qualify will receive a notice of unacceptability. Step two, sealed bids will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. The work site is the Federal Courthouse Building, 312 North Spring Street, Los Angeles, California. The estimated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement will be made under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Open to Large and Small Business).
