Rivera-Hollinger, Contract Specialist, (206) 227-1913, FAX (206) 227-1055 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Northwest Mountain Region, has the requirement for weather observation services to be performed at the Baker City Airport, Baker, Oregon. The Services require that the contract weather observer: (1) take, document, and disseminate accurate and timely, hourly and special observations in accordance with the Federal Meteorological Handbook No. 1 (FMH-1); (2) be certified by the National Weather Service (NWS); (3) be alert to significant changes in weather conditions that could have an adverse effect on aviation safety and disseminate these special observations as rapidly and accurately as possible in accordance with FMH-1; (4) disseminate each completed observation on telecommunications equipment furnished by the Government.
