The U.S. Army Engineer Division, Huntsville has a requirement for a laser to fragment urinary and biliary calculi (stones) and accessories for the New Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. The vendor is to supply a pulsed dye laser emitting a laser-generated shock wave to fragment urinary and biliary calculi (stones) effectively without trauma to soft tissue. The laser shall be safe to use anywhere in the urinary system, including the kidney and ureter under any conditions, transuretherally or percutaneously. The required delivery/installation date is 1 Jan 96. A fixed price contract shall be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 Apr 95.
