Notice of intent to place a delivery order against GSA Schedule Contract number GS00K-94-AGS-5104 with Dell Computer Corporation, 2214 West Braker Lane, Bldg. 3, Austin, TX 78758 to provide 18 notebook computers for the OPM European Training Center. Equipment will include the following: (1) 486DX/100; (2) 340 megabyte or larger hard disk; (3) 9.5'' color display, active matrix; (4) 20 megabytes of RAM; (5) 1 PCMCIA type III slot; (6) mouse and/or trackball; (7) 9600 baud modem or better - PCMCIA type; (8) DOS 6.2x and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 installed; (9) networking capability; (10) carrying case; (11) voltage adaptability for use in Germany. Delivery of this equipment is required to be accomplished within 30 days of the contract award. Equipment must be new and certified for maintenance and repair by any reputable repair firm after the expiration of the equipment warranty. OPM seeks affirmative responses within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. Responses should include current GSA contract number and full costing information as well as descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capacity to meet the stated requirements. No contract award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice because the synopsis is a notice of intent to place an order against a schedule contract and cannot be considered a solicitation document.
