This project will repair the existing trusses in Bldg 206 at Sierra Army Depot. All truss members that require replacement are to be replaced with new, kiln dried, no. 1 or better douglas fir with identical dimensions as the number being replaced for trusses with 3'' or greater vertical displacement and/or significant lateral stoppage, the trusses shall be jacked into original position and supported during repair operations. This project will also repair the existing fire sprinkler system in the ''box and crate factory'' which consists of Bldg 206 & 207 and the covered hallway connection that connects the two buildings. Building 206 is a 200' by 60' brick warehouse that has an existing dry pipe system that is over 30 years old. Building 207 is also a brick warehouse where the new sprinkler system will only replace the southern 156' length by 60' width of the facility. The valve house for Bldg 207 will also be repaired. Estimated cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Plans and specifications available on or about 3 May 95 at a cost of $16.00 for specifications (text only); $7.00 for half-size drawings and $17.00 for full-size drawings. Non-refundable.
