Amendment to Group 70 Part I Section E Solicitation Number
GSC-KES-00052-N-12-15-94 to add under the solicitation messaging
products for Electronic Data Interchange to support electronic
commerce. Messaging products to support messaged-based electronic
commerce. Such products shall be compliant with both 1988 X.400
(particularly X.435) and SMTP/MIME (typically for the Internet).
Directory Service products shall be compliant with X.500 (1988/92) and
support X.509 Public Key Certificates. Electronic Commerce Security
Services shall support 1988 X.400, PEM and X12 (X12.58 v.2)
functionality as well as perform digital signatures and encryption
according to both industry (RSA) and/or government (DSS) standards. The
products may be modular or integrated to provide the maximum
flexibility in agency selection depending on specific requirements. The
following categories are solicited: Class 7030-0002 Application
Software; Class 7030-0003 Other Software. Telecopier proposals,
renewals, modifications or withdrawals of proposals are not permitted
and will be disregarded if received. Offerors shall respond with two
hard copies of their proposal in the format specified in L.2 of the
solicitation. Contract period date of award, through 2/29/96. Amendment
to Solicitation No. GSC-KES-00052-N-12-15-94 will be issued on or about
April 4, 1995, and may be obtained from the General Services
Administration, Information Technology Service, Schedules Division,
KES, 18th and F Streets, NW, Room G-1, Washington, DC 20405. The
solicitation is being issued in diskette format or the solicitation can
be accessed and down loaded from the GSA/ITS Schedule System (OSS)
Bulletin Board. The OSS may be accessed by setting your communications
parameters to 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (8,N,1) Full Duplex
and ANSI enabled. Terminal settings should be set at something other
than NONE or TTY. Protocol should be, at least X, Y or Z Modem (Z Modem
preferred) (no ASCII). For all baud rates, dial 202/501-7254. Create
your own Password. (REMEMBER your password which is Case sensitive.)
From the Main Menu, download the solicitation by keying the following
(1) contracts and schedules (ENTER) (4) Group 70, Section E (Electronic
Commerce) (ENTER) (A) Download Group 70, E solicitation (WordPerfect
Format Only) (ENTER). Amendment (ENTER) (B). Offers should be received
by May 4, 1995, at 4:30 PM local time at place of issuance. See
