The Francis Marion National Forest is soliciting bids for Site Preparation by mounding and banding spraying of herbicides on the Witherbee Ranger District, Berkeley County, South Carolina. The work will include site preparation for planting on 678 acres of National Forest land. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision to mechanically site prepare National Forest lands for reforestation in accordance with specifications and provisions of the contract. Work shall be done with a Bracke Mounder (or equal) with the capacity to band spray herbicide while mounding. The prime mover shall be a skidder or crawler tractor with a minimum of 125 horsepower. Equipment shall be equipped with a winch, protective canopy and fire extinguisher. (086)
