Walters (703) 318-3420 Follow-on contract services for operation and maintenance of U.S. Government Facility in the Russian Federation. The Government intends to negotiate with Hughes Technical Services Company on a sole source basis (FAR 6.302-1). Capability to perform maintenance and repair on a unique radiographic imaging system (RIS) deployed in a remote area of Russia is the critical element of required services. The RIS is a one of a kind system for which the Government does not possesses adequate technical data (source code, drawings or specifications completely defining the form, fit, and function of the item). The system is located outside a Russian machine building factory where the US Government performs continuous monitoring of all exiting traffic on a 24-hour basis. In addition to the preceding technical expertise, the contractor will be responsible for overall site operation and maintenance providing logistical support to the site, and personnel support including linguists, chefs, registered nurses, and, electrical/mechanical engineers. Contract will be awarded on a Cost Plus Award Fee Basis. Contractor is required to perform 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
