Administration (HRSA), an agency of the US Public Health Service, is
interested in contracting with organizations which will meet the need
for well qualified industrial hygiene and environmental specialists to
provide consultative assistance to federal agencies throughout the
United States. This announcement is for the purpose of identifying
organizations who might be qualified to perform. Interested
organizations have 30 days from this announcement's publication date to
send their tailored capability statements to the HRSA address shown
above. The tailored capability statements should to the extent
possible, be tailored to the services as discussed below. Services will
include performance of indoor air quality evaluations, occupational
health and safety (OHS) training, asbestos assessments, OHS program
evaluations, environmental site assessments and monitoring, classical
industrial hygiene studies, and related projects. Organizations awarded
contracts will be expected to provide qualified individuals in a
variety of occupational and environmental health professional
categories including Certified Industrial Hygienists and other
industrial hygiene professionals, Professional Engineers, Certified
Safety Professionals and other safety specialist, AHERA Building
Inspectors/Management Planners, Geologists, Mechanical/Ventilation
Engineers, Health Physicists, Occupational Health and Safety
Technologists, Enviornmental Engineers, and Environmental Health
Specialists. Organizations interested in this proposed acquisition
shall be required to show evidence of their abilities to provide the
following: 1) provide a pool of occupational environmental
professionals in needed categories to meet HRSA's current and future
needs; 2) form occupational environmental teams consisting of the
necessary mix of occupational categories, and keep such teams
functioning for extended periods; and 3) enlarge their professions
roster rapidly enough to keep up with HRSA's expected rapid growth.
These services are required on a scheduled as well as on call basis, at
various federal installations and facilities housing Federal employees,
in a variety of geographic locations throughout the United States. It
is anticipated that several multi-year contracts will be awarded.
