Design; prepare complete construction drawings and specifications, and construct a two story Neuroscience Building. The building is to be a Type II 1-hour, approximately 12,500 to 16,900 gross square feet, and to be constructed to accommodate future vertical expansion of an additional two floors. Construction is to be completed within 270 calendar days after contract award. Work is to include all management, supervision, expertise, architectural services, engineering services, labor, all other support personnel, tools, equipment, materials, storage, demolition and all other materials and services necessary to design, prepare the site and construct the building from a preliminary design provided with the solicitation. All work is to be performed in compliance with all appropriate codes, specifications, regulations and laws. This is a request for proposal and will be competitively negotiated. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of cost and technical factors as listed in the RFP. Proposals offering alternate designs will also be considered. Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be firm/fixed price. Requests for solicitations must be in writing and accompanied by a $100 nonrefundable fee made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
