The area is to be resurfaced with a ``high build'' floor refinishing similar to Garland ``Chemi-Top'' or Stonehard ``Stoneshield''. The work will include surface preparation with shot blast and primer, application of a trowel-on aggregate epoxy mortar composition and an epoxy or urethane top coat. The nominal thickness of this system ranges from 3/16'' to 1/4''. As the mail processing operations on the workroom floor and platform are continuous 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, the maximum amount of floor area tht will be available to the contractor at any one time is 10,000 sq ft and the minimum floor area is 3,000 sq ft. Offerors must have a minimum of five years experience in floor finishing and primarily engaged in this line of work, and who, in addition shall have satisfactorily completed at least three prior projects, utilizing this coating system, comparable in size and scope to the work required by this solicitation. The estimatedprice range is between $500,000.00 and $600,000.00 with completion required within 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
