The supplies and services required by the Agency are available from only one responsible source and no other supplier will satisfy the needs of the Agency. It is anticipated to negotiate with the sole manufacturer, T. N. Technologies, Inc. Round Rock, TX for a portable XRF paint tester. This item is being sole sourced because the project NIST is carrying out for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires purchasing one of each type of the currently manufactured portable XRF paint tester. This is a sole source requirement because the above named manufacturer is the only known source of this product.-- Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement must provide adequate information to allow evaluation to provide the Tester. All of the above must be provided for the Government to consider whether to open this requirement for competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all ''compatibility statements'' received within 45 days after the date of this publication in the Commerce Business Daily will be considered by the Government.
