The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) has a requirement for non-armored outdoor loose tube gel filled fiber optic cable with a dielectric strength member. The cable must have 18 multimode 62.5/125 micron fibers and six singlemode 8.3/125 micron fibers. The fibers must be bundled in four groups of six fibers, each group of fibers being of the same type (MM or SM). Additional requirements are stated in the IFB. Total quantity 32,800 ft delivered in 10 reels, each reel 3,280 ft (+/- 10%). Comm/Scope P/N 0-024-LT-CM-DN/8H6/6F18, Chromatic Technologies P/N H1018-74066-24, OR EQUAL. Deliveries within 30 days after contract award F.O.B. Destination to NSWCDD, Dahlgren, Virginia. It is anticipated that the Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be released on or about 17 April 1995; bids will be due 30 days after the IFB is released.
