J -- JET ENGINE (J69 AND J85) MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SOL F41689-95-R0034 DUE 081795 POC ELIZABETH FAYKUS tel: 210/652-3551 The contractor shall perform on- and off-equipment maintenance of J-69 and J-85 jet engines to support the Air Education and Training Commande (AETC) T37 and T38 Jet Engine Regional Repair and Maintenance Support Services. THIS REQUIREMENT IS AN OMB CIRCULAR A-76 COST STUDY AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED IF GOVERNMENT PERFORMANCE IS DETERMINED TO BE MORE ADVANTAGEOUS. Maintenance is in support of the Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT), Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) program, Pilot Instructor Training (PIT), Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT), and Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) missions. Services include maintenance of AETC jet engines, associated ground equipment, materials, facilities, and premises. A mobilizaton period will be provided 1 Jul 96 - 1 Sep 96. Services shall be performed at Laughlin AFB, TX, for the period beginning 1 Sep 96 through 30 Sep 97 with four 1-year options to extend beginning 1 Oct 97. Similar services are currently under contract at Vance, Sheppard, Reese and Columbus AFB's. The larger portion of the engine workload at Sheppard, Reese and Columbus AFB's will be absorbed into the regional concept upon expiration of the current contracts. The larger portion of the Vance AFB engine workload will be absorbed on 1 Oct 98. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. (0088)
