The Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) seeks interested and qualified small businesses (SBs) capable of providing technically experienced manpower for the maintenance, operation, and safe shutdown and removal of the TFTR Neutral Beam Heating System and all related subsystems. The applicable SIC is 8711, Engineering Services, Other Engineering Services, and the applicable size standard is $2.5M. Specifically, PPPL requires up to twenty-one (21) highly skilled technicians and lead persons to operate the twelve (12) ion sources and the 1070W helium refrigerator on TFTR. The types of technicians required are as follows: Mechanical Technician, Electrical Technician III, Ion Source/Helium Refrigerator Operator and Leadperson. The estimated period of performance is October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996, with two (2) one-year options. Specific requirements are set forth in RFP No. 95-074K. The anticipated release date for the solicitation package is April 28, 1995. Subcontract award is to take place in June, 1995, subject to the availability of funds.
