49 -- AIRCRAFT ENGINE FUEL MANIFOLD TEST STAND POC Alfred Jacobson, Contract Negotiator, (805) 277-3900 Ext 2221 John Adair, Contracting Officer, (805) 277-3900 Ext 2230. Sources sought for an aircraft engine fuel manifold test stand. This test stand will be used to test aircraft fuel system components, other than those requiring a drive pad. The test stand must be no more than 9 feet high, with length and width no more than 15 feet each. The stand must be capable of testing at fuel flow rates covering (as a minimum) the range of 50 to 25,000 pounds per hour (PPH) at pressures up to at least 1200 PSIG. The test stand must have an enclosed spray chamber measuring 48 inches deep, 48 inches wide, and 36 inches high (these interior dimensions are minimums in each direction). The chamber must be constructed so that fuel spray from the manifold may be observed during testing. The chamber must have a connection for ventilation. The test stand must have at least 2-stage analog cascading pressure gauges, one-half percent accurate throughout the entire operating range, with over-pressurization protection for gauges, and at least a 2-stage turbine flowmeter system with digital flowrate computer. It must also have a temperature control system with indicator capable of maintaining 78 to 80 degrees fahrenheit. Interested sources capable of providing the described test stand must submit a letter of interest and capability along with two copies of technical literature/specifications describing their product to the following address: AFFTC/PKA, Attn: A. If no other capable sources are identified, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Bauer Aerospace of Avon, CT.
