Proposals are requested for furnished labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to tree thin by mechanical shear and chain saw, and also, slash removal on approximately 120 acres combined on two Ranger Districts, Big Valley and Devil's Garden, Modoc National Forest. There are two contract performance periods for this contract. Thirty acres of chainsaw thinning and thirty acres of shear thinning will be performed between August 15 thru September 30, 1995. The other 30 acres of chainsaw thinning and 30 acres of shear thinning will be accomplished between May 1, 1996 thru June 15, 1996.
