equipment necessary to perform routine Drydock Vessel Maintenance
including but not limited to the following minimum quanity items: 1.
Renew centerpiller propulsion plant 2. Provide temporary logistics 3.
Provide temporary berthing 4. Modify sewage tank accessibility 5.
Provide temporary messing 6. Routine drydocking 7. Preserve weather
decks 8. Overhaul steering gear system 9. Clean and inspect diesel fuel
tanks 10. Clean and test grid coolers. Indefinite quantity items
include but are not limited to the following: 1. Welding repairs 2.
Sandblast diesel fuel tanks 3. Preserve underwater body 4. Ultrasonic
testing 5. Preserve potable water tank 6. Preserve sewage and grey
water collection and holding tank's. Vessel homepier is Portsmouth, VA.
Vessel length is 64 foot 10 and one half inches, width is 19 foot and
3 eighths inches. Vessel availability schedule is 10 July 1995 for 60
days. The place of performance is geographically restricted to the
inland waters of the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware Bay, and the Delaware
River. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $50.00 required in the
form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast
Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are
available for viewing at building 400N, Governors Island, NY. The
proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 17 Apr 95. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For

Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
