Jones, 405-954-7811 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for a quantity of 2 each GPWS Mark V modified IAW functional requirements of TIEO 95-E-05 dated 1/10/95 provided with solicitation. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3669. These supplies are only known to be available from Allied Signal, Avionics because Allied is the only current manufacturer of GPWS equipment that is capable of being upgraded for detection of windshear. The Mark V is proprietary to Allied and no other manufacturer has the necessary drawings, technical data and software code to modify the Allied Signal Mark V GPWS. Because of the special features of the GPWS, only Allied can satisfy FAA's need for modification and integration of GPWS in FAA's unique avionics systems. Other concerns having the ability to furnish the above property/services are requested to give written notification (including the name and telephone number of a point of contact) to the procuring office listed in this notice, with reference made to market survey file # 11-29861, within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. Responses should provide information regarding the ability of your concern to satisfy the Government's requirement. All responses to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
