58 -- RADAR VIDEO COMPRESSION/DECOMPRESSION EQUIPMENT SOL DTFA08-95-B-03264 POC Nancy Davis, Contracting Officer, (310)297-1581 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has a requirement to provide and install Radar Video Compression/Decompression System (RVCS) equipment, ARCATA model RVCS 2000 or equal. Item #1: This equipment must accept Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-8) Trigger, Synchro Azimuth, Digital Azimuth, Azimuth Change Pulse, Azimuth Reference Pulse, MT1 Video, and Normal Video outputs along with analog Mode-S Beacon Video. It must compress and encode these signals in a format compatible for transmission on one T1 data circuit. It must decode and decompress the composite T1 data to reconstitute the ASR-8 and analog Mode-S Beacon Video. It must be compatible and interface with digital low density remote communications link equipment; Item #2: is to supply (1) initial site spare part set; Item #3: is to supply installation and testing service for the Radar Video Compression/Decompression System; Item #4: is on-site maintenance training for the installed equipment. The training shall include material for eight (8) Electronic Technicians.
