Cincinnati, OH 45268-7001 66 -- AUTOMATED SAMPLE AND STANDARD PREPARATION SYSTEM SOL C500416T1
POC Contracting Officer, Sandra V. Savage, (513)366-2046 The U.S. EPA
National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory, Ann Arbor, MI, has a
requirement for an automated sample and standard preparation system
(ASSPS) to log fuel samples, run two physical property tests, prepare
instrument samples with internal standards, and store part of the
original sample in a new container. The ASSP robotic system must also
prepare calibration standards from pure compounds and mixtures
gravimetrically, volumetrically, or both. The robotic system must label
all samples and standards with bar codes and store all transactions
electronically. The robotic system must include a computer controller,
printer, monitor, software, bar code printer and reader, and transfer
devices to move samples from one container/station to another. The
robotic system must be able to seal, unseal, move, and manipulate a
range of containers. A vapor pressure tester and a density analyzer
must be provided as system components to perform two physical property
tests. The ASSPS robotic system must also include: temperature control
equipment to condition samples and reagents, NIST traceable calibration
devices, and a store of consumables. Acquisition of the system includes
installation, on-site training of EPA personnel at Ann Arbor, and a
one-year warranty. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. ALL
REQUESTS FOR A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION MUST BE IN WRITING TO THE
