The Contractor's repair facility shall be approved by the American Bureau of Shipping for repair and cladding of shafts, and shall have the proper machinery and equipment for rotating, measuring, and machining a shaft 47 feet, 2.07 inches in length and weighing approximately 24,500 lbs. The shaft is to be picked up at the GSA Warehouse in Harahan, LA and upon completion the shaft is to be returned to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District Warehouse, New Orleans, LA Interested sources should make requests for this solicitation in writing within 15 days of this publication.
