26 -- PREQUALIFICATION OF PRODUCTS: REVENUE VEHICLE TRANSIT TIRES The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) seeks to test and prequalify Revenue Vehicle Transit Tires and intends to cite Revenue Vehicle Transit Tires by Manufacturer, name and characteristics within a bid document to be issued following a twelve (12) month test period. General Description: Tire Type: Steel Belted Radial for Transit Application. Tire Size: 12R 22.5. Load Range: H. Test Vehicle: 40' x 102'' Flexible Metro. Tri-Met will test transit tires for a period of twelve (12) months. Tri-Met will purchase, at a fair and reasonable price, steel belted transit tires to test five (5) buses and will purchase five (5) spare tires from each firm seeking to qualify. At the end of the test period, Tri-Met will publish, in an Invitation for Bid, the Manufacturer, name, and characteristics of those tires which Tri-Met has deemed acceptable.
