Hydraulic Equipment: Bechtel National, Inc. under Contract No. DACA87-89-C0007 acting as agent for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program (CSDP), intends to competitively solicit hydraulic equipment consisting of 19 valve manifolds and 6 power units, to be delivered to Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama by April 1, 1996. As an option, an additional 71 valve manifolds and 26 power units may be procured for the other six remaining facilities located within the United States, to be delivered at later dates through the year 2001. The hydraulic power units will deliver pressurized water-glycol fluid up to 2200 psig to the valve manifolds. The valve manifolds control the pressure and flow to the hydraulic cylinders/motor operators on various equipment. The hydraulic equipment shall conform to JIC H-1. Each hydraulic power unit will consist of a fluid reservoir, accumulators, heat exchanger, electric motor, piston pump, system relief valve, filter assembly, a fluid circulating unit, a load valve, and an electrical enclosure. It should be noted that ``Vickers'' brand valves may be included as a specific requirement for this procurement. This procurement is unrestricted with regard to business size. Evidence of shop capacity and capability to perform projects of this size, type, and complexity, on schedule will be required. This solicitation will be a negotiated procurement. Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be pursuant to Contracting by Negotiation as described in FAR Part 15. This solicitation will be issued approx. 15 April 1995 and RFP closing will be approx. 30 days thereafter.
