The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to establish a requirements contract for Airborne Video Recorder/Reproducers. The recorder/reproducers are S-VHS cassette, airborne; c/o: NTSC/EIA standard; record video camera; infrared sensor; multi-function displays; high-speed search; visual event marker; built-in test (BIT); elect frame indexing (VISS); serial/parallel interface; horizontal resolution; more than 400 lines (S-VHS); 240 lines (VHS); audio rec: helical scan FM, deeplayer record; 80-20KHZ response; video level: 1 VBS (composite) and Y (VS) 0.5-2.0 VPP; 75 OHM bal. Type speed: 1.315-in/sec (33.4mm/sec); PWR RQMTS: 28VDC, less than 33 watts. The requirements contract will consist of a base year with four (4) option years. Estimated quantity for the five year period is 227 each. Delivery of recorder/reproducers will be FOB destination - continental United States, as specified on individual delivery order(s).
