A -- MULTIPLE-AXIS MOTION SIMULATION SOL DAAH03-95-R-0061 DUE 052395 POC (RDPC) Mechelle Smith, Contract Specialist, AMSMI-RD-PC-GX, 205/876- 7599, Raymond L.Shores, Contracting Officer, 205/876-3432, Synopsis Number R087-95. Design, manufacture, deliver, install, and provide one week on-site training for 1 each Multiple-Axis Motion Simulator. The Multiple-Axis Motion Simulator (MAMS) will support qualification testing of the Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystem (IBAS) Target Acquisition Subsystem (TAS) which contains a dual-axis stabilized head mirror assembly, and the Commander's Independent Viewer (CIV) which contains a stabilized gimbaled sight. The real-time vehicle/platform motion simulator will provide a synethetic environment, within the laboratory, for including realistic rotational motions on the IBAS/TAS and CIV-subsystems. The specifications require inducing controlled angular motion of the IBAS/TAS head assembly mounting fixture and measuring the Line-of-Sight (LOS) jitter caused by the motion. The MAMS will also perform other extremely critical measurements such as LOS synchronization and LOS plumb travel. The Subsystems Test and Analysis Branch of the Electro-Mechanical Test Division will use the MAMS at the Redstone Technical Test Center on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Estimated period of performance is 8 months from date of contract award. Interested parties should request the solicitation package in writing from Commander, U.S. Army Missile Command, ATTN: AMSMI-AC-MOD, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280. (0093)
