Support Associates (ASA) under contract with the National Science
Foundation is seeking sources interested in providing Power and Water
Plant Maintenance & Operations in support of the United States
Antarctic Program (USAP). Austral summer staffing for the Power and
Water Plants shall consist of sufficient personnel to perform 24-hour
watch coverage seven (7) days a week at the primary Power Plant along
with intermittent operation and maintenance coverage of additional
generator sites remote but within ten (10) miles of the primary Power
Plant. Typical classifications required to operate and maintain these
facilities consists of supervisory, power plant mechanics, power plant
technicians, switch gear technicians or power plant electricians.
Primary Water Plant may require 24-hour watch coverage using reverse
osmosis water production equipment. Typical classifications required to
operate and maintain Water Plant facilities have consisted of water
plant mechanics, water plant technicians and boiler mechanics. Please
