Provide Architect-Engineer (A/E) Services for preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, related studies and all associated engineering services under a Firm Fixed Price Contract to repair the structural steel trusses of two hangars at the Naval Air Station, Kingsville, Texas. The estimated cost of construction is in the range of $250,000 to $500,000. Design award and completion is anticipated to be 31 August 1995 and 30 December 1995, respectively. A/E services include field investigation of the trusses, lead paint survey, development of plans and specifications to repair and paint the trusses, and preparation of a cost estimate for the repair costs. A/E firms responding to this announcement will be evaluated on the following criteria in descending order of importance: (1) Qualifications of personnel assigned to perform the work. (2) Recent experience of assigned personnel in repair and maintenance of structural steel facilities. (3) Internal quality control program with demonstrated results. (4) Cost control methods used during design. (5) Past performance on DOD contracts. (6) Volume of work awarded to the firm by the Department of Defense during the past 12 month period. (7) Geographic location of the firm with respect to the project. A/E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit completed SF-254 and SF-255, US Government Architect-Engineer Qualifications to the office shown. The SF-255 must clearly indicate the office location where the work will be performed and the qualifications of the individuals and subcontractors proposed to work on the contract. Firms responding to this announcement by 1 May 1995 will be considered.
