Provide all plant, labor, material, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to upgrade the base heating system at Selfridge ANG Base MI. Work includes, but is not limited to, removing twelve (12) buildings from Selfridge ANG Base central heating system and providing smaller, natural gas, energy efficient boiler units with some infrared heating systems for the office and aircraft hangar type buildings. New individual boiler capacities will range in size from 100 MBH input to 750 MBH input. Also, the project includes partial removal and demolition of the existing steam distribution system, removal of asbestos pipe insulation, demolition of a one-story building (approximately 600 square feet) and construction of required paving and utilities for the new heating systems. All work is to be in strict accordance with the Technical Provisions and Drawings for Project VGLZ929901, ``Upgrade Base Heating Systems Phase I''. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is approximately 487 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. There is a $125.00 nonrefundable charge for each solicitation package. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by this agency.
