The South Dakota Army National Guard is interested in procuring a ``Jump Trailer'' for the transportation of Scraper, Earth Moving, Caterpillar Brand MDL 621, NSN: 3805-01-153-1854. Because of the cost and manufacturing time-frame of a new trailer, the National Guard would like to find a used trailer that would be compatible to the military semi tractor (MDL M916) that would be used to pull this Jump Trailer. The fifth wheel specifications for the MDL M916 Semi are as follows: Make/Model: Holland/FW-70-0-15 Type: 36 in dia. - single oscillating, Rated Capacity: 70,000 lbs. vert., 200,000 lbs. drawbar, King Pin Size: 3.5 in., Pitch-Forward/AFT: 15/19 deg. This trailer is half the length of a Lowboy Trailer. The front wheels of the scraper set on the Jump Trailer while the rear tires trail behind. In addition, the SDARNG would like responses from any manufacturer that could provide a new Jump Trailer to specification.
