The Programmable Matrix Switching System required by this contract will be used in the Icing Research Tunnel (IRT) to actuate solenoid valves in the water spraybars. The system will be controlled by existing computers in the facility. Salient Characteristics: The system shall actuate programmed combinations of 1080 solenoid valve coils via individual form A (N.O.) dry contact relays. The system shall be configured as a number of chassis enclosures, each housing a number of plug-in relay cards. Each chassis shall connect to and be controlled by a central system controller. The system controller shall provide a single point of control for all relays, via serial interface and front panel control. Positive visual indication of relay coil actuation shall be provided for each relay. Delivery to Cleveland, Ohio 44135. Delivery schedule is 45 calendar days after contract award. This procurement is being made under the provisions of the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994. (FASA). A fixed-price purchase order shall be awarded to the lowest price quote which is competitive with market prices, desired quality and delivery, considering past performance, warranties and other offerings of value to the Government.
