Include any numbered note reference: National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD, has a requirement for a contractor to prepare four (4) baseline gasoline samples, quantity 650 ampules each. This material will consist of a highly characterized synthetic fuel base with precisely added amounts of specific oxygenates and sulfur containing compounds. The target concentrations for the materials are: Material: 1; Oxygen%: 2.00%; Oxygenate/Concentration: MTBE 11.0%; Sulfur Concentration: 35.0 ppm; Material: 2; Oxygen%: 2.70%; Oxygenate/Concentration: MTBE 14.9%; Sulfur Concentration: 300 ppm; Material: 3; Oxygen%: 2.00%; Oxygenate/Concentration: ETBE 13.1%; Sulfur Concentration: 35.0; Material: 4; Oxygen%: 3.50%; Oxygenate/Concentration: Ethanol 10.1%; Sulfur Concentration: 300 ppm. Material #4 above will be optional. The Government will decide at contract award whether award will be made for this item. Contractor shall guarantee upon 1 week advance notice, work schedule and agree to allow NIST personnel to be present during preparation and ampuling of products.
