The Router Bridge chasis consists of an enclosure with a (486SX) CPU module and power supply. 486SX CPU contains 8Mb DRAM and 1.5 Mb Flash. High performance, standards-based, multiprotocol router and a Media Access Control (MAC) layer bridge supporting Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI and a variety of wide area network connections including T-1/E-1, X.25 and public and private frame relay. Timeplex model # RB or equal. Includes dual-attached (DAS) multi-mode fiber FDDI interface module. Both ''A'' and ''B'' ports multimode fiber, Timeplex model # RB-F1 or equal. Includes Router Bridge standard software with frame relay and extended DoD security. Latest revision will be provided unless otherwise requested. Includes Router Bridge installation and maintenance manual and two 3.5'' diskettes containing Router Bridge User's Guide 1 and User's Guide 2 formatted as Microsoft Windows 3.1 help files. Timeplex Federal Systems Inc., is the only manufacturer capable of meeting the minimum needs of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement by submitting technical and pricing data within 15 calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement for competition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
