Stokes (410) 965-3205 CNT NONE The Social Security Administration is in need of an electrically adjustable worksurface with the following specifications for possible use in reception counters in SSA field offices nationwide: The worksurface and adjusting mechanism must be systems panel hung or wall mounted. The worksurface must operate on a standard 110 volt electrical outlet. The electrical adjustment mechanism must be energy efficient and the control must be located so that it is easily reached by the user. The adjustability range of the worksurface shall be from a minimum of 66 cm (26'') high to a maximum of 101.6 cm (40'') high. The worksurface must be able to support a functional workload of 150 pounds regardless of size. The worksurface itself must be constructed of at least 45 pound density particle board encased in high pressure, matte finish, wood grain laminate. The worksurface must be at least 3.8 cm (1.5'') thick with all edges rounded. The typical worksurface will be 177.8 cm (70'') wide by 85.1 cm (33.5'') deep with an elliptical curve cut out of one side of the front edge making the narrowest depth 59.7 cm (23.5'') (Similar to the Herman Miller Liaison worksurface #S62572.01). However, the manufacturer must be able to provide custom shaped worksurfaces as required.
