COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 6,1995 PSA#1319DOT, FED HWY ADMN, Contracts and Procurement, 400 7th ST, SW, Rm 4410,
Washington, D.C. 20590 A -- EFFECTS OF HIGHER STRENGTH AND ASSOCIATED CONCRETE PROPERTIES ON
PAVEMENT PERFORMANCE. SOL RFP No. DTFH61-95-R-00108 DUE 041795 POC
Contact Behrooz Behpoory, HCP-30, (202) 366-4224 A - The objectives of
this study are to 1) Determine the properties of portland cement
concrete (PCC) of higher strength found in certain in-service pavements
which resulted in good long term performance; in particular freedom
from distress near joints and free edges. 2) Identify test methods to
measure (quantify) these properties. Also, determine the materials
characteristics of the concrete which are responsible for the levels of
these properties found in the concrete. 3) Develop prototype mix
designs and specifications for concrete for use in pavements that would
posess these properties while still meeting the needs of current
specifications and construction requirements. To expedite request,
please furnish two self-addressed gummed labels for each solicitation
requested. The solicitation number should appear on the bottom edge of
the labels. Availability of the solicitation is limited and copies
will be furnished on a first-come, first served basis until supply is
exhausted. (0094) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0004 19950405\A-0004.SOL)
