(301) 496-4487. The National Institute on Deafness and Other
Communication Disorders, National Institutes of Health, intends to
negotiate a three year contract with the Norwegian Institute for Public
Health (Statens Institute for Folkehelse) to conduct an epidemiologic
study to assess the genetic and environmental etiologies of hearing
disorders and hearing loss. The Norwegian Institute for Public Health
shall perform this effort as a subproject of an overall health
screening project study on the adult population of Nord-Trondelag,
Norway. Statutory authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR
6.302-1. The cited authority is applicable because the Norwegian
Institute for Public Health is the only sources with access to the
files to the Norwegian Central Bureau of Statistics which uses a unique
persone number identifier to group individuals into familiar
