QUALIFIED PROPERTY PREPARATION CONTRACTORS FOR A SERIES OF AFFORDABLE
HOUSING DISPOSITION RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY AUCTIONS SOS
#0710-95-0201-010-0036-001 The Interstate Auction Company intends to
distribute a Solicitation of Services requesting proposals from
qualified firms to perform required maintenance to prepare between 30
and 75 single family residential properties for sale by auction. These
properties are located in the states of West Virginia, Virginia,
Maryland and the District of Columbia. The properties to be prepared
for sale are owned by various receiverships or conservatorships and/or
their subsidiaries, all of which are controlled by the Resolution
Trust Corporation. The property preparation services will include, but
will not necessarily be limited to: providing individual cost
estimates; completing approved property repairs; assist in the
distribution of marketing brochures; assist in opening properties for
''open houses''; prepare comprehensive completion reports for each
property prepared. To be considered well qualified a firm must: (1)
have experience in preparing large number of properties for sale, in a
short period of time, ie; complete preparations on up to 75 properties
in a 90-100 day period; (2) meet the following insurance requirements;
a) Performance Bonds in an amount not less that $300,000, b) Workman's
Compensation Insurance, c) General Liability Insurance in an amount not
less than $1,000,000; (3) demonstrate knowledge of RTC Minimum
Habitability requirements; (4) be licensed, or agree to become licensed
to do business in the states of West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and
the District of Columbia; and (5) have financial capability to wait up
to 30 days on payment for work performed on individual properties.
Firms desiring to respond to this announcement must submit a
notification letter on official firm letterhead stating affirmatively
that the firm is qualified to perform the above services and to meet
the above requirements and is interested in receiving a solicitation.
The notification letter must include; firm name; street address; phone
and facsimile numbers; federal tax identification number (TIN); name
of contact person; whether or not Offeror is a Minority or Women Owned
Business (''MWOB''); and signature of an officer or general partner of
the firm. Notification letters must include a firm resume not to exceed
four pages. It is the intent of Interstate Auction Company to
distribute the solicitation only to qualified firms. MWOBs are
encouraged to apply and will be given special consideration. Interstate
Auction Company also encourages the participation of MWOBs in joint
venture and subcontracting arrangements. Notification letters must be
either hand delivered, sent by overnight courier, or certified mail,
return receipt requested to: Interstate Auction Company, 3751 Venture

do not conform with all above instructions, will be deemed

the appropriate experience and meeting necessary requirements, will be
mailed a detailed Solicitation of Services authorizing them to submit
