USAID/Peru intends to award a contract for the design of a new AID office building in Lima, Peru to the Architectural and Engineering firm of Helmuth, Obata and Kassabaum (HOK). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. HOK has designed the new US Embassy compound in Lima for more than three years. They are totally familiar not only with all the buildings on the compound but also were the designers of the commercial and prime power of interaction within the complex. This is critical as the AID building will need to complement the system and become an integral part of it. This notice of intent to negotiate solely with HOK is being published per FAR 6.302-1 (c)(2). See Note 22. (0095)
