F -- HARVESTING/CUTTING OF WATER CHESTNUT IN LAKE CHAMPLAIN, VERMONT-NEW YORK It is proposed by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Lake Champlain Basin Program to conduct a water chestnut control program in Lake Champlain, project dependent upon receipt of Federal funds. The harvesting/cutting of water chestnut will require handpulling crews in addition to standard harvesting equipment. Availability of an airboat with cutter bar and a fast transport barge is required. The contract will be awarded based on an evaluation of the proposal, with consideration being given to the following criteria: 1) completeness of the submittal; 2) demonstrated expertise, experience and reliability of the contractor and key personnel and 3) cost. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds required. Anticipated Project Duration: July 1-September 30, 1995. Requests for the RFP should be made to V.
