R -- OPERATION OF THE USAID DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION SERVICES CLEARINGHOUSE FACILITY SOL PDC-0232-C-00-0094-00 POC Contact Point, Veronica G. Smith, Contract Negotiator, 703/875-1026 The United States Agency for International Development intends to award a modification to contract PDC-0232-C-00-0094-00 with Logical Technical Services Corporation of Bethesda, Maryland, for a 12-month contract extension, through September 30, l996, for the operation of the USAID Development Information Services Clearinghouse. On an annual basis, the contractor responds to approximately 6,000 inquiries for USAID reports, processes more than 7,500 USAID development experience reports, develops and maintains access to the Agency's on-line Development Information System (DIS) databases, published A.I.D. Research and Development Abstracts (ARDA) and the CD-DAIS CD-ROM, and disseminates over 125,000 USAID publications and reports per year. Additionally, the contractor processes approximately 50,000 Agency official file documents, publishes quarterly Handbook CD-ROM, conducts Agency-wide records management files inventories and provides records liaison coordinator support to re-build and maintain records management infrastructure in USAID Bureaus.
