Specialist, on 703-305-6670 The Federal Supply Service (FSS) has a
requirement for scheduled certificated U.S. Airlines to provide
passenger transportation services, Government wide, for approximately
4,300 domestic and International Airport pairs. The contracts will be
for a 12 month period beginning October 1, 1995, and may include two 2
month options. They will be requirements type contracts. The contracts
are solely for the movement of passengers and are used by almost all
Federal Agencies and various other authorized users. They do not
require travel agent services and do not include any role for travel
agents. Air carriers who are not currently approved by the Department
of Defense (DOD) must, prior to award, have appropriate FAA
certification, have adequate insurance, and be approved by the DOD
based on successful completion of a technical safety evaluation
including an onsite survey (AUDIT) by the DOD. Carriers who are
otherwise eligible must also participate in the Civil Reserve Air Fleet
(CRAF) program. For information regarding the CRAF program call the
office of the Assistant for Civil Air at (618) 256-6751. All
responsible sources will be considered. A pre-solicitation conference
will be held in the Washington DC metropolitan area approximately 15
days after issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation will issue on
or about April 26, 1995 and will close on or about June 1, 1995. Only
