The Contractor is to provide all material, labor, equipment, supervision necessary for the construction of a fire protection improvements to Fire Suppression and Fire Detection Systems. The project will consist of providing a water storage reservoir and diesel engine driven fire pump, a new high pressure underground fire water main, supplementary water supply connection from the Suffolk County Water Authority main in Old Riverhead Road, automatic AFFF underwing protection systems in Buildings 358 and 370, self-contained AFFF Foam Storage Tank and hose units, wet pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems, convert and existing wet pipe sprinkler system to a dry pipe type system, automatic fire alarm system including automatic encoding, transmission, decoding, and annunciation capabilities with detection systems for buildings; 204, 206, 230, 264, 270, 276, 280, 290, 300, 354, 358, 370, 395, and a new fire pump house, radio-wide fire alarm system, collection, containment and impoundment of AFFF foam/water solution from a discharge foam of systems. Construction of the proposed project is the New York Air National Guard Base, Francis S. Grabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, New York. The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. IFB DAHA30-95-B-0006 will be issued on/about 7 June 1995 with a Bid Opening Date on/about 11 July 1995. The performance for this project will be 365 calendar days after the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
